The 5512 Submariner. My Favorite Gilt Sub

The submariner has certainly seen many different models and while the 5512 is really a "refined collectors" watch. The 5512s were made between the early 60's to the late 1970s.
This is my favorite gilt dialed watch. A simple but elegant watch.
A couple of features makes this a special watch. This example is from 1962 and has a beautiful glossy gilt dial with connected minute track. These were certified chronometers and usually have four lines of writing, while this one has only two.
The case has pointed crowns guards and a low profile, a real pleasure to wear on a daily basis.
